Q)  At what age did you start playing hockey and who/what pushed you try and ultimately stick with the game?

I played many sports when I was younger but nothing compared to hockey the feeling I got when I stepped on the ice and nothing else matters made me love it. I started playing roller hockey at the age of 7 then when my older brother started ice hockey when I was 10, I began to play and just fell in love with it.

Q)  Is their one particular play, goal, hit, save, etc…that really stands out over your playing career?

There is not one play, goal or hit I can say stands out. But one game that stands out is senior high school hockey in States we were down 1 goal with 3 seconds left and we tied it with 1.2 seconds left to go into the semis there was no better feeling then watching that puck go in and celebrating with the team when we tied it. Best moment of my career.

Q)  Hockey is one of the more “team” based sports. What is the dynamic like to be a part of that atmosphere? (in the locker room, on the bus, practice, etc…)

Besides playing the games, I have to say the locker room and bus trips are what really makes me close with these kids. I’ve been on may teams and these group of kids are something special sad to say I will only play a season or two with a few kids this year.

Q)  Entering your first year at Rider, what do you think your biggest adjustment will be and what ultimately led you to continue your education and playing career at Rider?

Biggest adjustment would probably have to be staying level headed in certain situations.  In addition, balancing my academics (journalism major) and hockey will be an adjustment.

Q) Some hockey players are known to be very superstitious; do you have any superstitions, pre-game during, etc…?

The butt end of my stick has to be the same way every game. Also I like to sit in the locker room and visual myself in game situations.

Q)  Favorite Team?

New York Rangers.

Q) Favorite Player?

Torey Krug.

Q)  Pre-Game Meal?

Pasta with some trail mix.

Q) Type of music, if any, do you listen to before a game?

Taylor Swift Shake it Off has grown on me and Avicii.

Q) What is the one piece of equipment you are most picky about?

I can’t change my skates. I have not gotten new skates since 9th grade of high school.
