Meet Your Broncs with Nate Fowler

Meet Your Broncs will be a running series that features the members of the 2016-2017 Rider Broncs ice hockey team. Each week a new player will be featured giving Bronc fans the opportunity to learn more about their favorite player, both on and off the ice.

#8 Vincent Arlotta
Height: 5’6″
Weight: 150
Position: Forward
Home Town: Montville, NJ
Academic Year: Sophomore

Q – At what age did you start playing hockey and who/what pushed you try and ultimately stick with the game?

A- 8; my older brother, grandpa and dad

Q – Is their one particular play, goal, hit, save, etc…that really stands out over your playing career?

A – Playing on the same line as my brother one game my freshman year of high school while he was a senior and assisting him on a goal then hearing the loud speaker say, “Goal scored by # 24 Nick Arlotta assisted by #8 Vincent Arlotta”

Q  -Hockey is one of the more “team” based sports. What is the dynamic like to be a part of that atmosphere? (in the locker room, on the bus, practice, etc…)

A – Being on a team that acts like a family boosts my confidence, knowing that i am surrounded by brothers that will always have my back

Q – Think back to your freshman year, what was the biggest adjustment to playing on the college level?

A – Adjusting to/knowing my role and sticking to it throughout the season

Q – Some hockey players are known to be very superstitious; do you have any superstitions, pre-game during, etc…?

A – I have to listen to “Ima Boss” by meek mill one the car ride/bus ride to every game

Q – Favorite Team?

A – Devils (and the Baltimore ravens)

Q – Favorite Player?

A – Stephen Gionta and Ovechkin

Q – Pre-Game Meal?

A – Chicken salad and taylor ham on a roll (if i get a chance to get it on game day)

Q – What type of music, if any, do you listen to before a game?

A -Rap; Meek Mill

Q – What is the one piece of equipment you are most picky about?

A – Knee pads ( have to be taped a certain way)
