Meet Your Broncs with Eric Hoffman

Meet Your Broncs will be a running series that features the members of the 2017-2018 Rider Broncs ice hockey team. Each week a new player will be featured giving Bronc fans the opportunity to learn more about their favorite player, both on and off the ice.

#11 Eric Hoffman
Height: 5’9″

Position: Defense
Home Town: Jackson, NJ
Academic Year: Freshmen

Q – At what age did you start playing hockey and who/what pushed you try and ultimately stick with the game?

A-  Age 3 and I hated soccer and enjoyed hockey and wanted to be better than my

Q – Is their one particular play, goal, hit, save, etc…that really stands out over your playing career?

A – My first gunnery goal was a big moment for me

Q  -Hockey is one of the more “team” based sports. What is the dynamic like to be a part of that atmosphere? (in the locker room, on the bus, practice, etc…)

A – I think it’s very nice and warming especially after this past weekend, a truly amazing experience

Q – As a freshmen, what is the biggest adjustment to playing on the college level?

A -Biggest adjustment will be using my free time wisely, I chose rider so I could play hockey and be close to home still

Q – Some hockey players are known to be very superstitious; do you have any superstitions, pre-game during, etc…?

A – O I always tape my stick before games but not practices unless I have to

Q – Favorite Team?

A – Washington Capitals

Q – Favorite Player?

A – Mike Green

Q – Pre-Game Meal?

A – Pasta or a sandwich

Q – What type of music, if any, do you listen to before a game?

A –Hard rock or metal

Q – What is the one piece of equipment you are most picky about?

A – My helmet
